Re: writing fast - whenever I feel like I'm writing too slowly, I remind myself that it's easier to edit sub-par writing than it is to edit a blank page. I'm usually slow when I'm trying too hard. Let the story flow. If you're excited about it, it will come, and you can fix anything up later!
