Thank you! Amusingly, I was *THIS* close to skipping the demon entirely and skipping straight over to a scene where Dean's rubbing horse liniment into Sam's hip. But, once I got him to the stairs, it felt more harmonious to keep going. And I think it worked out nicely enough. Thanks for reading! :D
