Spoilers: Not much, but, oh, up to the end of season 2 just to be safe.
Warnings: Er, so, I thought that the surgery was going to be about as gross as I would get with this. I was wrong and my warning section is about to become a laundry list. Mild descriptions of major surgery, OC who is a victim of fire and child abuse, OC character death and evil beings doing evil deeds. Also? There’s a clown and shocking lack of wee!Dean.

Disclaimer: If I owned Supernatural, I could probably afford to have that stone patio put in out back. Sadly, such is not the case.
Summary: Young Sam Winchester has surgery to correct a congenital heart defect. His father is not the only one who watches over him.
Author’s Note: This is all ratherastory  's fault. She started talking to me about wanting a story where Sam has a heart defect. And I thought about it, got a few ideas, and then it twisted in on itself a little, as things often do in my head. I kind of suspect that this isn’t what she had in mind at all.
Author’s Note v2.0: I chose not to describe every last line and drain that would be hooked to Sam. It wasn't necessary and I don't think that this will give anyone too much cause to stumble.
