I suspected that John was using the boys as bait (not sure I feel so great about that, but the boys did an excellent job of being them), but I didn't guess the real reason until John asked where the girl's body was. Ah-ha! Look at you being so clever! I loved this. I was all squirmy and uncomfortable every time you showed another bit of that pervert's thought process (his use of Perfect was so creepy and believable) and got us so close to him. And there was such triumph at the end! I even love Sam's hesitation; he knows the guy deserves it, but his dad's still going to commit murder... I'd have hesitated too.

Thanks for commenting - and yes, while John did use the boys (Sammy) for bait, the boys were aware of it and in on the plan :) I will add a little note at the bottom explaining a bit of the backstory.

I did assume that the boys were in on the plan... it's just the idea of John using his sons like that... TOTALLY in character, don't get me wrong :-) Just makes me want to shake my fist at John a little. Got the job done in the end, though, didn't it?
