Author's notes: This is basically a fix-it fic for Season 9's glaring failure to fully address why Sam was so disturbed by the Gadreel possession (when ANY FULE CAN SEE it is the latest in a long line of similar traumatic experiences). Also, it allows me to work through my feelings about Sam's burnt-off tattoo.
