This must be one of the best stories I have ever read 👏, what strikes me the most is how well you write them so much in-character, that is actually sad , because that's exactly what was happening in season 12 and it hurts watching Sam's feelings rejected like that . But what actually hit the feelings was Dean's POV , that a part of Dean actually acknowledges the problem but in the same time denying it , and he stops himself from feeling hurt for his brother , while Sam is burying the hurt so that Dean can finally reconnect with Mary ! then him comparing the situation to their childhood , " your brother always gets lost in his nonsense " NONSENSE ! , Dean just considred Sam's hopes , Sam's emotions and love nonsense that was just cruel and he knew it , he FELT it .. I FELT IT .. then Dean returns and is kinda heartbroken for Sam , and he is truly trying to comfort him the best he could , because he is still Dean and that's what he does .. even if he was the one doing the hurt , he is always there to comfort .. What away to end the story ! 😭💔❤ And finally , the summary line was great , so accurate , and so fitting .. I loved this story so much, it touched me , your style is amazing and it added so much depth to what the show offered us , and explored the Winchester relationships in a way we never saw on screen .
