author's notes:This was written for this year's spn_summergen exchange for serawade's wonderful prompt: Lucifer won and took over the world in Sam's body. He keeps Dean a prisoner. If Sam misbehaves (tries to fight the possession) Dean is punished, if Sam behaves, Lucifer lets him talk to Dean once in a while.

Summary:Their lives these days are reminiscent of grim sand-stained fairytales, and Dean would rather populate a greasy, noir suburbia— Sam Winchester knows. This is the one where Sam and Dean Winchester end up in the Maghreb region following the fallout of 8.23, there are oboe-playing monsters and magical flowers, Castiel tears up the sky, and Sam has strange powers.

Author's Notes: This was my offering for spn_summergen 2013. Written for the prompt: Sam settles down somewhere, but Dean is restless. This is set after 8.23, and is probably the weirdest thing I could have written for this prompt. There's a commentary on it over here regarding how this fic came to be and the various stuff that inspired it.
