Season 8 fic recs

I do NOT want to ruin the fun everyone (including me) is having in the current comment!fic meme. However, some people have been requesting scenarios that I have recently read about in currently existing fics.

Now, if you were considering writing a fic for one of those prompts, PLEASE don't let this discourage or distract you. I want to read your fic, too! There are many ways to answer a prompt and many stories that can come from one starting scenario.

I am solely posting these links to #1: Help out those readers who are dying to find a story with this premise and #2: Send readers to feed the authors whose stories I've enjoyed with more feedback.

One of several of her What If Benny Was Evil? stories. Apparently I've got some reading to catch up on as this was the only one I knew about. Looking at her author page, though, It looks like I've got some nw fics to enjoy, too. :-)

Thank you for posting this, THANK YOU!! not all hurt!Sam is posted here so it's difficult to find everything out there, and to be honest I've been a little wary of looking for S8 fics because most seem Dean-centric.

Do you have any other S8 recs for Sam-obsessed fans like me? It would be great if you could share them with us!

This isn't Season 8 per say but it's right after the Season 7 finale that kind of runs off what the authors thinks would have happened and explains purgatory and what not.

Summary: Sam's never needed to believe in monsters when they're pretty much his day job, but it comes as a bit of a shock to find that they've stopped believing in him. He wishes Dean were here. Pre-season 8.
It's post 7.23, so it's AU now, but it has that alone in the world, introspective Sam that I find so fascinating.

I like the brothers being brothers, despite the changes they've gone through in the missing year.

Summary: Sam finds out he can use his powers to bust Dean and Cas out of purgatory. He falls off the demon blood wagon. He tries to break them out, but it's a huge strain and he can only manage to grab Dean, and maybe the effort scrambles Sam's eggs a little, and he wasn't doing so hot with his magic mental health cure locked in Purgatory anyway.
I'm not usually a fan of evil!Sam, but this works because you can see Sam through the cracks.
