Because someone said Yes when they should have said No, and someone else paid the price.

Oh, God, I was waiting eagerly to see what happened to Sam and Cas while Dean was being an angel condom and now that I know I don't want to! Oh man, I don't know what was more heartbreaking, Sam's situation as a whole (JFC the kid just can't catch a break, can he) or Cas trying so hard to make things easier for his friend. And then there's confirmation that Cas was the one to kill Sam, and after the interlude it was like "OH GOD CAS, SAM, I WANT TO GIVE YOU A HUG FOR THE REST OF ETERNITY." Although I must admit that Cas is making a smart move keeping the location of Sam's soul from Dean, because it is a proven fact that Dean does not think rationally when it comes to his brother.

Oh man, this fic has me so beyond hooked and I can't wait for more. THIS IS SO SO SO GOOD I AM ON THE EDGE OF MY METAPHORICAL SEAT. If I were on the edge of my literal seat I'd probably get reeeeeeeally uncomfortable before the next update haha.
