A/N: This is a response to a prompt on the h/c challenge made by werty30 . The prompt was "The first time Sam drinks Ruby's blood." I had originally intended to write a standard one-shot about the first time Sam drank Ruby's blood, but it sort of evolved into something a bit more complex. I tried to find a beta, but no luck, so any and all mistakes are mine alone. Feedback is always welcome and appreciated. :)
