Summary: Up in the mountain there is a man who has lived the life of a legend -- a man that no one truly knows -- a man that has been alone for a very, very long time.

A/N: Big thanks to ephemerall who was my beta for this thing and made it resemble something close to English -- you're the best, Hon!!!! I've messed around with this a little after she gave this back to me, so any mistakes you find are all mine.

Also, this story was mostly inspired by all of the recent pics of Jared Padalecki with his epic, glorious hair and hiatus beard that have been all over the place -- I couldn't help but draw some parallels between him and a certain iconic, religious figure (in appearance only, of course). Plus, I borrowed a lot from Dr. Who in this story (I'm a big sucker for the whole Rory waiting 2000 years for Amy Pond arc)  -- I'm not even sure it makes any sense -- oh well, it is what it is.
