Title: Break
Author: Center of the Galaxy
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Sam, Dean
Genre/Pairing: Gen, Hurt/comfort, family
Words: About, 3,500
Warnings: Late season 8 spoilers
Summary: After many weeks of taking care of a sick brother, Sam decides that Dean deserves a night off. Besides, what's the worst that can happen to the youngest Winchester? As Sam finds out, a lot actually.
Author's Note: Written for this wonderful prompt: "Set late in season 8. A fevered Sam is wandering around the men of letters cave and stumbles upon a hidden, air tight room, full of ancient transcripts and rare books. But then his fever spikes and he loses time, waking up on the floor of the locked air tight room. I'd love to see an unwell Sam fight through his fever to save himself, only to come face to face with a pissed off and freaked-out Dean." If you wrote this prompt, let me know so I can give you credit!
"You don't need to stay." Sam blurts out of the blue.
