Summary:"From now until midnight," The Trickster tells a wide-eyed Sam. "You're free. Spend time with your brother. He won't die today." Sam gets one day free from the loop and with help from his brother, remembers why Winchesters never give up.

ohsam's birthday challenge. As no one filled it, I decided to do it myself. The prompt was as follows, "Season 3, Mystery Spot, Gen. How does Sam celebrate his birthday during the time loop? By watching his brother choke to death on cake. Yeah, definitely not a good day. That is, until Gabriel steps in and (feeling slightly guilty) gives Sam a break. One day where things are normal and Dean won't die until midnight. Sam enjoys it to the fullest." I changed a few things during the course of writing, but the essence of the prompt is still there. Hope you enjoy!
