THE RULES
→ Leave a comment here with your prompt. Because it's Sam's birthday, I'm going to say that any Sam-centric prompts are okay, even if there's not much hurt/comfort in them.
→ In your prompt, please state your desired characters or pairings. All genres/pairings welcome, but no real-person prompts.
→ Prompts can be as short or detailed as you like. Remember though - more detail means less wriggle room for the writer, which might lower the chances of someone picking up your prompt.
→ Go through the prompts! If you find one you like, write a fic for it. There's no limit to how many users can reply to a prompt, or how many prompts someone can write for.
→ When replying to a prompt with your comment-fic, put ‘filled’ in your subject line and then anything else you want, like a title if you have one/part numbers. It’s not a big deal if you forget this step, but it will make it easier for people to find your fic.
→ Anon posting enabled.
→ NO SPOILERS FOR UNAIRED EPISODES.
→ Play nice - no flaming and no character bashing, period. Any comments that break this rule will be deleted without warning.
→ Feedback is catnip for writers. Leave some author-love!
→ No spam comments.
→ Contact one of the mods if you have a question.
→ Spread the Sam love - pimp this meme! Just copy and paste the code below:

anonymous wrote A witch the boys meet on a case decides to cast a spell on Sam as a gift for his birthday (she notices the guys have some communication hang ups)--he will not be able to inhibit what he says for a full day. Basically everything he thinks and feels comes spewing out of his mouth without his control. Including many thoughts of self-loathing and doubting Dean could ever love him the same after all that's happened, any other things you want, etc. Sam is mortified and feels exposed and stupid.

FILLED
Date: 2010-05-05 11:34 pm (UTC)Everyone except for Sam. Not that he’s one to be lounging out in the sun anyway, but right now he’s being kicked in the ass by a nasty flu bug that only he seems to have caught.
He’s lying in bed, sweaty and sniffly, thinking about how today is his first birthday away from home. He’s never had the best of birthdays, but if it weren’t for Dean’s way of always remembering his birthday and trying to make it special, he’s not sure he would have even cared. He hates admitting that he’d give anything for Dean to remember his birthday this year. He hates admitting to himself that he might actually miss the newspaper wrapped book that Dean would give him , or even the predictable new weapon he’d get from Dad. If Dad remembered, that was.
He hears a knock on the door, and Jess comes in, giving him a sympathetic look. She’s holding something small wrapped in plain brown paper in one hand, and a bigger package wrapped in bright, birthday paper in the other.
“Hey babe, how you feeling?” She asks, taking in the mounds of crumpled tissues and glasses hall full of liquids that litter his room. Sam groans, turning his head away from her to cough into his pillow.
“Not so good. You probably shouldn’t be around me. You might get this too.” He sniffles as she sits on the edge of his bed, and he feels a wave of dizziness pass over him as her weight shifts his.
“I brought you a present,” she says, leaning down to kiss him on the forehead. “Happy birthday.” Sam doesn’t really have the heart to tell her it’s not exactly a happy occasion and he attempts a smile, but he’s coughing again. When he’s done, Jess is handing him a fresh glass of water, and he greedily gulps it down.
Jess sets the bright present down next to him, nudging it closer.
“That’s from me,” she says eagerly.
“What’s that one?” Sam asks, pointing toward the small brown item on the table.
“Oh, it was outside your door. Had a sticky note that said to deliver it to Sammy Winchester on it, but I don’t know who brought it here. Who even calls you Sammy?”
“Can I see the note?” Jess fishes it out of her coat pocket. Sam takes it carefully, eyes glancing over the words, in handwriting that he swears looks just like…
“Open it,” Jess says softly. “I want to see what it is.” Sam fingers the package lightly, slowly peeling away the brown paper.
Inside there’s a note, and something black. He pulls it out, sees that it’s a length of black leather; a bracelet. There’s a small charm on it, and he peers closely at it, trying to figure out what it is. He gasps when he realizes that he’s seen this charm before, only bigger, on the amulet he gave to Dean years ago.
“Dean,” he whispers, a huge smile taking over his face. He flips open the note, staring intently on the three words scrawled in familiar handwriting inside.
Happy birthday, bitch.
“What? Who’s that from?” Jess asks, face an expression of confusion.
“It’s from my brother.”
“How do you know? Wait, you have a brother?”
“I just know.”
Suddenly, it doesn’t matter that he feels like crap or that he can’t breathe through his nose. This is the best birthday he’s ever had.
