reccer's comments. this is an au from 5.04 in that dean was never taken to the future and he and sam haven't spoken since the beginning of that episode and sam's phone call. dean comes across sam during a hunt, manages to get injured, discovers something about sam that he really wasn't expecting and tries to convince his brother to come back with him. this is a wonderfully-written, heartwarming story with a perfect dean-voice.

reccer's comments. if i had a required-reading list for this fandom, this would definitely be on it. firstly, it's a great outsider's pov. secondly, it's original. and third, it has a great twist. this fic drops you right into the middle of a hunt and let's you connect the dots as you read.
