Title: Missing Pieces
Author:[livejournal.com profile] mamapranayama
Genre:
gen
Category: hurt/comfort, angst
Characters: Sam, Dean, Bobby, John, Caleb
Rating: R (language, violence)
Summary: Pre-series AU, Sam is seriously injured while saving a friend at Stanford and is left without a literal leg to stand on.
A/N: This was written as a fill for the [livejournal.com profile] oh_sam fic challenge and this prompt from[livejournal.com profile] captclooless: Due to some incident at Stanford (fire, building collapse, Sam being an idiot hero, whatever you want~) Sam is left one leg short. Additionally, I have this story all written, but what started out as something I wanted to do as a one-shot, blew up in my face and turned out to be over 25,000 words. However, since I want my writing to at least resemble coherent English, I will be posting this fic one chapter at a time so I can edit this as I go along. Hopefully, I will be able to get a chapter up every day or two until it is all posted, but it will not be included with the fic challenge masterpost until it is all up.

Title: Heaven doesn't want us, Hell's afraid we'll take over
Author: [livejournal.com profile] monicawoe
Word Count: 2846
Genre: gen
Characters: Sam, Dean, and many others
Rating: R (language, violence)
Summary: written for the [livejournal.com profile] ohsam fic challenge for the prompt:
The Winchesters just don’t seem able to die or stay dead, something
perpetually special about them, beyond just being vessels. It’s a long
time on (centuries maybe, though the boys don't age and the car doesn't
rust) and the world’s much the same. There are still hunters, demons,
angels, monsters, and the Winchesters. Their moral compass has become a
bit skewed in that they still hunt and save people, but they aren’t
willing to risk each other anymore. If Dean has to let Sam go again,
like he did when he jumped into the Cage, in order to save the world,
the world can fend for itself as far as he’s concerned. They're not evil
though.

They’re all that matters to one another, period. But,
after all that time, Cage memories have irreparably altered Sam’s
personality (think River from Firefly or a less evil Drusilla from
Buffy) and his powers are permanently back. Dean’s fine with it all, his
own hell and time having skewed the lines of his black and white world.
All he wants is to take care of Sam and kill baddies.

Heaven and Hell rarely agreed on anything.

Title: The Secrets You Can't Keep
Author: [livejournal.com profile] embroiderama
Rating: PG-13
Characters: Sam, Dean, Jess
Word count: 6,914
Summary: Dean knew almost everything about Sam, but after Stanford there was one vitally important thing that Sam neglected to tell Dean. Sam was used to keeping secrets, but keeping this one was a bad idea.

Notes: This was written for the [livejournal.com profile] shangrilada's prompt at the [livejournal.com profile] ohsam Fic Challenge. Thank you to [livejournal.com profile] nelle816 for looking it over for me.

Prompt: Sam developed Type 1 diabetes while at Stanford. It's not that he doesn't WANT to tell Dean, just that there's never a good time...

~~~
( The one thing that Jess and his good friends at Stanford — hell, most of his casual friends there — knew about Sam, was the one thing he couldn't quite figure out how to mention to Dean. It's not like it was a big deal. )
Hey all!
Just a quick reminder that you now have until midnight, December 2nd to claim any previously unclaimed prompts. We still have nearly 60 prompts that are positively clamouring to be filled!
Also, I am going to take this opportunity to remind you of the rules, once again:
1- One claim per prompt only. You may claim as many prompts as you would like, provided they have not been previously claimed by someone else.
Please be realistic when claiming prompts. If you are the type of writer who needs weeks to write 500 words, then claiming five prompts may not be the right choice for you.
2- Stories may be posted at any time before February 2nd, 2012, using the &fic challenge tag. After that, you may post using the &amnesty tag.
3- Stories must be a minimum of 2,000 words.
Yes, I am paying attention, and yes, I am using a word counter. If your wordcount doesn't meet the required minimum, I will remove your post from the community and ask you to repost when you have met the required length. If you don't post a story that meets this minimum before February 2nd, 2012, then your story will not be included in the challenge master list at the end.
4- Stories must be posted individually to the community.
This is not a comment-fic meme. While you are more than welcome to advise your prompter in the comments that your story is complete and posted, do not post your story as a reply to the prompt. It must be its own separate entry. You may either post it to the community in its entirety, or make a post to the community linking back to an entry in your own LJ. If you prefer to use AO3 or another fanfic archive, that's fine too, so long as the story is readily accessible (ie, do NOT link to a locked post!!!) and is linked in [livejournal.com profile] ohsam.
Failure to do this will result, once again, in your story not being included in the challenge master list.
5- Stories must be complete before being posted.
NO WIPs. I mean it, folks. We've made one exception due to a misunderstanding, but make sure your prompt is fully written before posting. If your fic is a multiple chapter monster, that's great, but I WILL NOT include it in the master list at the end of the challenge if you post it in parts over several weeks.
The rules of this challenge are not complicated. Failure to adhere to any of the above rules will result in your fic not being included in the challenge master list. No exceptions from this point on, period. If I notice a rules violation I will point it out and ask you to correct it, but I will not come back and check to see if you have, nor can I guarantee I will catch them all. It's your responsibility as writers and members of the community to check your work, okay?
Happy writing!
