Mod Post: spoiler policy

Hi all!

This is a reminder to all members, new and old, that spoilers are a really big deal here at ohsam.

Spoilers are any information concerning a recently aired episode (a good rule of thumb is a minimum of one week after the air date, preferably two), or concerning upcoming unaired episodes and/or the upcoming season (in this case, Season 9). This includes casting and character spoilers as well as locations, plot, dialogue, images, etc. Basically, ANYTHING someone wouldn't know without watching the episode first.

As a point of courtesy, we ask that people also bear in mind that Supernatural does not air concurrently in every country. Many people are one or more seasons behind. While it's not mandatory to warn for spoilers for earlier seasons, we ask that you at least keep it in mind out of consideration for our fairly large community of non-North American fans who also enjoy Sam!whump.

Here at ohsam, we ask that ALL spoilers be placed behind an lj-cut, or behind a spoiler cut, or otherwise obscured (greyed-out text, etc.). Failure to do so will result in your post or comment being deleted. You will be invited to re-post subsequently. Repeated offenses will result either in your membership being moderated (please don't make me do that, I hate moderating posts and I don't have enough time to do it, so your posts will likely languish for a longer time than anyone wants) or in your being outright banned from the community. Spoilers make ratherastory angry. Seriously, don't spoil. You wouldn't like me when I'm angry. :P
