Title: Delicate Arguments [Of Faith and Murder]
Characters: Sam, Dean, peripheral Bobby, mentions of Jessica
Wordcount: 4000
Genre: gen
Warnings: disturbing imagery, suicide attempt, graphic violence, angst(?)
Rating: PG 13
Summary: Pilot AU. Following Jessica’s death, Sam drops off the grid. Dean searches everywhere for his brother but finds only a breadcrumb trail of blood that leads nowhere. Finally, a group of hunters track Sam down to Waycross, Georgia; and Dean has thirty minutes to save Sam, or kill him.
Notes: Written for the Summer of Evil challenge on evilsam_spn, where I failed miserably to make Sam all eeeevil. This ended up being more Sam!angst and hurt than anything else...
This thing is about insanity, and blind belief, and the stuff in Houses of the Holy. Houses of the Holy continues to break my heart for Sam to this day.
Concrit is adored :)
But he’s looking at the bubbles, Sam is. With some childish wonder. He’s looking at the bubbles and he’s choking, floundering, and that’s when he sees the angel.
