Summary: Tag to 8.23 "Sacrifice." The angels have fallen. Cas has vanished. Sam is dying. The lengths Dean will go to to save his brother scare even him. AU.
Author's Note: I wrote this over the summer before the start of Season 9. It's different than my other fics because it's mostly told through the perspective of a stranger. I absolutely love it, and I hope you do too.
*I just noticed that the chapters were mis-numbered. Sorry about that! The story was posted in order, but I'm sure it was a little confusing.
