Summary: The Darkness is a cloud that covers pieces of the Earth and the angels are making no headway. Lucifer and Michael are back in the world fighting, but God seems absent as always. Sam and Dean are struggling with the years of death and violence they’ve experienced, and the misunderstandings, resentments, and secrets they’ve wounded each other with and be wounded by. The world is at stake, as always. Are they too broken to fight this time?
Sam and Dean, of course, Castiel, Rowena, Crowley, Lucifer, OCs, Snarky Sam, Irreverent Dean, Missing the Point Cas, Jesuits, Weird monsters the show wouldn’t have the budget to do, angst and humor, Sam gets put through the wringer.
This follows my piece, “Atonement” but stands alone. (In this au, Angels have their wings back.)
