Mod Post: the h/c challenge deadline is tomorrow!

As most of you no doubt know, tomorrow is the deadline for the Sam-centered h/c challenge. Fics are due before midnight, whenever your midnight happens to land.

"Oh, no, ratherastory! RL ate my brain, my muse got food poisoning, and my fic isn't done! What do I do?"

DO NOT PANIC!


This is a non-stress event, folks. If you haven't been able to fill your prompt, no one will come after you with a wooden spoon, I promise.

You may post at any later date with the amnesty tag, OR you may PM the mods and ask for an extension. In either case, we would consider it a courtesy if you could let the prompter know that the fic is delayed.

No, not about the comment-fic meme, have no fear. This was a challenge posted in November, with a deadline and a minimum word count. Comment-fic is done whenever you feel like it. :)

I'm pretty new to LJ and horribly technologically challenged anyway, so I'm not sure about PM-ing, but my muse is suffering from Multiple Personality Disorder at the moment and I'm still finishing another fic over at FF.net. So there's no way my challenge fic will be done before midnight - but I really want to post it eventually... I hope that's okay! I'd ask for an extension but I have NO idea when my fic will be ready.

Private Messaging is a LiveJournal feature. You can click on someone's username to send them and only them a message. Check the LiveJournal FAQs for a more comprehensive overview of that, and if you have extra questions I'll be happy to help out in any way I can. :)

Uh. Are we supposed to link the prompter to the fic? Because, I posted my fic to the comm a while back, but didn't link it in the claim-thread. *confuzzled*

No, there's no need for that. Prompters, if they're really keen on getting their prompt filled, should be on the lookout for the fic. If you DO decide to link them, which some people have done, then it's a bonus. :)

If your prompter was anonymous, then no, you don't need to notify them. :)

The challenge did specify no unfinished WIPs. By all means, post when you're done under the amnesty tag. :)

No, no, ask in the comments. If you're asking here, it means there are ten people too shy to ask, so you're helping everyone. :)

When you post to the comm, you are encouraged to tag your posts. One of the community tags is called "&amnesty."

You don't need to ask for amnesty, it's already given pre-emptively to anyone who wants it. :)
