Fic Challenge Prompting Post!

Okay, from November 2nd to November 8th inclusively, leave your prompts here! Five prompts per participant only. You don't have to participate in the challenge to leave a prompt, although it is encouraged! I will compile a master list under the cut, along with claims. (You don't have to prompt in order to claim, either, for that matter, but again, it is encouraged!)

One prompt per comment, please. Warn for spoilers. Specify relevant pairings (if applicable) and if your prompt is gen, slash, het, other or if you don't mind either way. :)

After November 9th, prompting will be closed, and claiming commences until December 2nd, but you can post your stories at any time until February 2nd. I will compile a list and make the claiming post as early as possible on November 10th.

Samnesia, anyone?

Sam gets some plot device head injury and when he wakes up, he doesn't remember anything....except for Dean. He remembers everything about Dean, everything they've said and done together, but he doesn't remember the exact circumstance. For example, he remembers hunting something when they were sixteen and Dean getting hurt and Sam stitching him up, but he doesn't remember what they were hunting, or who this "John" person is or him being there at all, or the people the saved or why they do what they do anyway. He doesn't remember Mary at all.

The thing is, it's a permanent thing, and Sam's memory is affected. Within hours, he's forgotten what he's just done, except for the roles he and Dean played in it.

Bonus points if they somehow get separated, and Sam can't remember anything for more than an hour at a time a la Memento.

Sam does a spell to get rid of his unwanted attraction for his brother, but as the attraction leaves him, they enter Dean. And in the process, leave Sam with random bouts of literal heartache.

Bonus points if the wincest stays unrequited (as that's kind of the point, and because I'm a complete angst junkie) and if you have Dean freaking out about his developing attraction to his baby brother.

When Sam saw Dean in the restaurant, he looked like he was really resiting react at all. But he seemed to kind of loosen up after the waiter acknowledged Dean. Maybe he wasn't sure it was really Dean until someone else saw him too?

Lucifer/Fake!Dean sighting have probably been messing with his head the entire time he was gone.

This is a repost from a previous comment meme that was posted a bit late into the meme and not filled.

A powerful witch or another MoTW owes Sam a favor, and he uses it to bring back Dean after the crash before his dad can make the deal. The price? You decide. I'd prefer some sort handicap, such as blindness or loss of limb, Whatever it is, it's graphic, and Dean and John get to watch the gruesome payment happen.

While living in the dorms and starting off a new relationship with Jess, there is an outbreak of Meningococcal meningitis, which Sam contracts. He becomes deathly ill and Jess needs to try to find a way to contact his family, whom she knows next to nothing about.
So, she digs through Sam's possesions to see if she can find out more about them in order to let them know just how sick Sam is. But, in the process, she stumbles across a secret journal Sam has kept since he was a kid and she finds out about the 'family business'.

Season 7. Sam can't stand the way Dean looks at him - or thinks he looks at him - like he's scared of him in this state of mind. Or, even worse - like he's a burden. Sam doesn't want to cause his brother more pain, so he runs away and admits himself into a mental hospital, if only to take the weight off of Dean's shoulders.

Unfortunately, things only get worse without Dean, and the doctors don't know what to do. After months, Dean finally finds him and starts to piece him together again. Gen, please.

Sam got hurt or sick or has another Hell-related breakdown. The Leviathans are on the lookout for them, they are officially-dead serial killers, and so Dean and Bobby deal with it the usual way: The panic room may be gone, but the new place has a basement and that'll do just fine.

Eventually they have no other choice but to get a doctor, though - and that doctor is more than shocked to find someone in that state stored in a basement.

He's even more shocked when he learns that it's not the first time.

I don't really care how it happens, I just want someone to chew Dean and Bobby out for their way of dealing with Sam when he should be in a hospital.

Okay, so Dean thinks Sammy's dealing with his Hell memories. And he is, of course he is, because any time Lucifer gets too loud or the walls start drenching themselves in blood or whatever, he takes a knife to his arms and it all stops. SO that's good, right?

Except Sam goes too far while they're separated after Amy. Dean to the rescue!

Sam was raped in hell and when he regains those memories, is particularly ashamed of this. Dean finds out and talks him out of the shame (over the course of however long you want). Gen, please.

Because there is still such a stigma attached to male rape (especially among straight men), I'd like to read a piece that deals with that shame in specific.

Dean/Sam very welcome, but gen is okay, too. Any season, but not pre-canon.

Sam has been taken by someone who can completely control his body, but not his mind. He's gone for months, and in that time he is forced to murder for that guy, to have sex for and with him, and to generally do and say anything the guy wants him to, no matter how humiliating. Inside he's horrified and desperate, on the outside there is no sign of his struggle.

Dean comes to save him, eventually. He finds Sam, but the control will only be broken after his tormentor is dead.

I'd love Dean to keep talking to the inner Sam, who can't answer, even while his brother is being forced to throw himself at him and ask Dean to fuck him, or tells him how much he enjoyed all the crimes he committed.

And after that lots and lots of H/C with a very traumatized, guilty and ashamed Sam.

Considering the gigantor Sam is nowadays, there aren't many people, human and not, who can carry his full body bridal-style. Cas, with his angelic superhuman strength, is one of them. Doesn't have to be Sam/Castiel (I actually perfer gen) but an inside on their relationship would be wonderful.

Sam has Crohn's Disease, or some other gastro disease. With the way the boys live, on the road and eating at questionable places wreck havoc on Sam's stomach, making him sick a lot. Sam usually tries to make sure he doesn't eat the things that will set it off, but eating on the run he misses it some times. So he misses it and ends up really sick, puking his guts out and the other end. Dean takes care of him and gets him through it. Can be gen or slash.

John is on a hunt and young!teen!Sam gets very sick. Dean takes care of him and Sam starts calling him 'dad'. (Preferably repeatedly.) Gen.

I don't want Sam to do so only because he's delirious with fever and thinks Dean is John - I want it to be a little bit of truth slipping out of Sam's mouth when he's too sick to watch his tongue.

Season 7, gen

Bobby has been replaced by a Leviathan without anyone noticing. Very patiently he works on subtly destroying Dean's trust in his brother while at the same time triggering flashbacks and seizures for Sam. Eventually, he convinces Dean that the best for Sam would be committing him to a mental hospital.

After that, the Leviathans finally have the Winchesters separated and at least one of them helplessly at their mercy.

I just watched Sam and Dean's fight from Metamorphosis again, and one of the lines really struck me:

"God doesn't want you doing this."

Sam misinterprets this, and takes it to believe that God doesn't want him at *all* anymore.

Sam has a crippling, crippling phobia. It doesn't matter what it is, only that it's fairly irrational and incredibly intense.

On a hunt, they encounter a MotW that uses/involves that thing of which he is petrified, and he freezes up, which lets Dean get hurt. All of a sudden, Sam's not only terrified by the object of his phobia, he's also incredibly guilty.

He keeps trying to expose himself to the object of his phobia when Dean's not looking, which makes him freaked out and exhausted and constantly afraid. Dean takes way too long to figure it out, but when he does, it's up to him to fix his little brother, as usual.

Sam looks around at any of the women who hit on him, at any of his physical peers and just sees a bunch of kids. He's two hundred and six years old. Lucifer remembered every birthday. In real life, he has a really hard time explaining to the ER doctor how he managed to acquire such a severe case of COPD (Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease) at the age of 28. Somehow, he thinks "My chronic bronchitis didn't just stop once I got into Lucifer's cage" isn't gonna cut it.

Um, I think you may be in the wrong fic challenge here. This one is Sam-centered, in that Sam must be in the receiving role of h/c. What you have here, while interesting-sounding, is a Dean-centric prompt.

May I suggest hoodie_time as a more suitable venue for your prompt?

Sorry, Ratherastory. Concise is not my forte when it comes to prompting.

Adam's mom is killed (by MoTW?), and the only contactable family number is Sam. First shocked, but accepting, Sam takes on the role as older brother and caretaker with pride and worms his way into Kid!Adam's heart.

But going to school, to work, and making enough money to support two people is hard to do and after a while, he works himself into a fever big enough to warrant a hospital visit.

When Dean and John rush in, they're chased out by pissedoff!protective!Adam, who is not tolerating this dead-beat, never there father trying to dance his way back into their lives. Shocked Dean and John, Feverish Sam, and Glaring, Fretting Adam.

I've been dying for a good Dollhouse/Supernatural crossover. That bus Sam got on to go to Stanford? Well, he didn't make it there. Somehow (up to author, though I like the idea of Dean and John being threatened with legal action if Sam doesn't comply) he ends up in the Dollhouse as an Active.

Some time later, Dean bumps into him while hunting whatever but, of course, Sam doesn't recognise him because he's programmed as whatever.

So, y'know, Dean (and John if you want) to the rescue and all that epic stuff.

(And, erm, yeah, so sorry, Ratherastory, I'm not sure how to shorten this.)

Curtain fic. Boys have stopped hunting. There’s a farmhouse or house by the sea or whatever. Sam has a huge cat that adores him. Dean and the cat make stink-eyes at one another. Both boys are adjusting to their wounds – psychological and otherwise – but they get by. It’d be all pretty great, really, were it not for the fact that Sam’s been hearing sounds – wailing out in the fields (or on the beach), the sound of crying, etc. It’s hard to convince Dean that it’s real, that he’s not imagining it when he’s completely deaf in both ears and has been for the last couple of years. Gen, pls! (And if you put one of them in glasses, I’ll love you forever and ever.)

There’s always a darkened door ahead and, just there a flicker of movement in the shadows. Is it Dean? Sam’s been looking for him for some time now. He’s been out of water for what feels like more than a day, his tongue is fat, swollen, and dry in his mouth. He’s limping (new injury, permanent, you choose!) and still, he needs to rush, to hurry, to find some way to make himself run because the need to go as fast as he can in the hopes of catching up to the shadow he hopes might be Dean is almost as pressing as staying ahead of the sound behind him, the sound of something wet moving in the ruin.

I love me some reunion scenes, but end it how you like. Just Gen, please.

They’ve got Sam’s DNA.

They know he’s halluci(fer)nating.

What’s stopping one from hopping on over to Detroit, sliding a hand over the corpse Dean apparently left to rot there, and becoming the physical manifestation of Sam’s worst nightmare?

Think of it, a Leviathan with Nick’s body and memories of being possessed.

And if he just follows Sam, Sam will have no way of knowing that he’s actually real until it’s too late.
