Happy New Year, beloved members!
Watch this space for a comment-fic meme tomorrow.
Also, as you know, LiveJournal has made some significant changes lately which are making it a little harder to run the comm. While we're not moving or anything, I am taking the precaution of making a back-up of the comm at Dreamwidth: you can find it here. You will note that it's blank. That's because DW doesn't yet offer the capability to free community accounts to import entries. This should change in the next few weeks, once the import queue is down to manageable levels again.
Speaking of importing entries! DW doesn't distinguish when importing entries and comments, BUT it imports all of it using your LJ usernames as OpenID accounts. That means you still have access and control over your content. If you don't want your content in DW, I suggest you watch the mod posts here to see when we import the comm, and afterward you can go in a delete your stuff. I wish there were a cleaner, more straightforward way to allow people to opt out of having their content shared, but right now it's just not feasible.
Have a great 2012, folks. Start it off with a bang by hurting Sam! You know you want to. ;)

Date: 2012-01-01 11:58 am (UTC)Thank you very much for creating and modding this wonderful community! It's my favourite place in all internet! I hope LJ gets to release something to fix the comment subjects because they are messing with my safe haven!
