A/N: This is an AU, I've made it part of an ongoing verse of mine that involves no deals, but does use events and characters from all the seasons. It is also a time stamp for my fic, Forged by Fire, and takes place after the fic, though it is not necessary to read that fic and there are no spoilers for it, this is a stand alone. Sam is still slightly off.
