→ Some of you have probably noticed that we didn't have a rec post in the beginning of September and we haven't had one for October. I'd like to apologize for that. College is kicking my butt right now, and I haven't had the kind of time I usually do. I'm hoping to get two rec posts out this weekend to make up for it.
→ Links. Providing clickable links makes getting to your story much easier and definitely increase the chances that it will be read. But making the link can be confusing, so I thought I'd help out a bit. If you are more comfortable using the rich text editor on LiveJournal, first type in the title of your link in the posting box (what you'd like readers to see when they look at the link). It can be the title of your fic, a quote, or just "click here". Highlight the text and then click on the button in the editing bar that looks like this:

Paste the URL of the link into the dialog box that pops up and hit okay. Your link is done.
An easier way to do this (in my opinion) is using HTML. If you post using LiveJournal, you'll have to first switch over to the HTML tab for this. Type out:
Before you post, remove the space in between the < & a in the beginning of the code and the < & / & a & > at the end of it. Do NOT remove the space between the a and the href. This is a handy method to know because it'll help you post links in comments, which can only be done (as far as I know) through code. If you use the code enough, you will remember it. It's not hard at all.
