Okay, from February 22nd to March 1st inclusively, leave up to five Sam-centric h/c prompts! You don't have to participate in the challenge to leave a prompt, although it is encouraged! I will compile a master list under the cut, along with claims. (You don't have to prompt in order to claim, either, for that matter, but again, it is encouraged!)

One prompt per comment, please, and please warn for spoilers and/or any triggers in your prompt. We encourage "greying out" spoilers and triggers, or using white font, whichever works better for you. Please specify if your prompt is for gen, slash, het, other or if you don't mind either way. I will be listing the prompts by pairing (if you can call gen a pairing, but let's not start splitting hairs, right?)

After March 1st, prompting will be closed, and claiming will commence until March 6th, but you can post at any time until May 15th.

Sam is having nightmares about Gadreel killing Kevin. For some reason the Winchesters are somewhere there is a big frozen lake, they get separated and Sam thinks he sees Kevin out on the ice. Cue falling through thin ice, hypothermic hallucinating Sam. Comfort comes from the ghost of Kevin before the physical rescue from Dean. Variations on that theme also welcome!

Now that Dean's a demon, Sam (finally) gets his anti-possession tattoo done. But naturally it isn't that straight forward. Cue a nasty infection, and lots of pain, and if you link this to Sam's mysterious shoulder injury in early season 10 you get bonus points!

Nose Bleed - Fic

Cas takes Sam back to the bunker and Sam is very tired and lonely and in pain and he can no longer fight against the attraction he has always had for the angel. Sam gets taken by the monster of the week. Normally it eats children but the demon blood makes Sam taste delicious. The monster keeps Sam in a cage meant for children. It drains some of his blood and cuts off small pieces of flesh only because Sam is a delicacy and it wants him to last.

desert survival

Sam and Dean get taken by hunters who are too squeamish to pull the trigger themselves. The hunters take the boys up in a bush plane abd parasite them down into the middle of a desert with no food, water, or shoes. They have to survive abd make it back to civilisation themselves because no one is looking for them.

Spell to help Dean drains Sam

Desperate to help Dean, Sam stumbles across a spell that will help Dean control, but not cure or remove, the effects of the Mark of Cain. The catch is, the spell draws energy from Sam to work. Normally it's manageable, but eventually Dean starts to notice his bad spells go away quickly, but Sam always seems to fall ill shortly afterwards.

Hunt gone wrong

Gen, pre-series-ish. Sam lands in the hospital with pneumonia. Good thing Jessica is there to take care of him. The only problem is that Sam hasn't put her on his emergency card and the doctor won't let her in. It doesn't help that Sam is too delirious with fever to give his permission. Desperate, Jessica calls the only contact on Sam's phone that she doesn't know--"D". Cue a frantic Dean (and John if you wish) meeting Jessica/testing to make sure she isn't a supernatural creature as well as taking care of Sam.

Gen, any season with Charlie. Charlie heads to the bunker intending to have a great day with the boys only to find the place in shambles, Dean injured and Sam missing. It's up to her to be the hero that she's so often read about and rescue Sam from whatever creature has him. Hurt Sam however you like (but no permanent injury please!)

Season 10. Gen. Sam's shoulder is hurt a lot worse than Dean realizes when he first comes back. When he was returned back to human again, Dean spent the next few days sleeping, eating and simply enjoying being human, however Sam silently suffers as the stress and the beating and torture he received from Cole begin to take a toll. Dean slowly realizes it and does his best to give Sam support.

Non-Con. Season 10. Gen. Dean has to help his brother come back from something much darker than a shoulder injury. When Cole tortures Sam he also rapes him as a way to get back at Dean since Dean isn't giving into his demands. Dean later learns what happened when he was beating up Cole for a second time and the man lets it slip. Sam has to stop Dean from giving into the mark and killing Cole and Dean has to somehow pick up the pieces that's been shattered of his brother.

Gen, season 6. After a huge fight, an angry Dean takes off. Normally, this wouldn't be a problem, but Sam suffers a huge seizure right after and Castiel has to take care of him. Sam is convinced he's too broken and that Dean would be better off without him. Castiel shows him otherwise.
