Step 1: Leave a comment with a prompt. As always, since we are a Sam-focused hurt/comfort community, Sam should be the primary recipient of any of the hurt and/or comfort. Prompts can involve Sam being sick, hurt, angst-filled, grief-bearded, or any other scenario that will put him into a hurt/comfort-y type of position. (Other characters can be hurt if you wish, but Sam is a requirement.)

Step 2: Make all the things! Prompts can be filled as soon as you have a fic or art to fill them!



The rules:
-Post one prompt per comment, please. This makes it easier to track, and easier to tell which fills go with which prompts. If you have several prompts, post them in separate comments.

-Prompts can be as short or as detailed as you like, but shorter prompts give people more wiggle room to create.

-Post as many prompts as you'd like! The more, the merrier.

-Same goes for fills. You're welcome to fill as many prompts as you want to, and multiple people can absolutely fill the same prompt. We love to see different takes on the same concept.

He had been driving; the tires of the Impala eating away at the asphalt underneath them. The car, Dean’s baby, had become his second home. More like his only home, he couldn’t bear to be in the bunker. Not without Dean. It wasn’t his home without his brother. It didn’t matter that Castiel was there. So what if Jack was around? Or Mary? Or even Bobby, even if he was the ‘other’ Bobby. Or any of the others they had rescued from the other world. None of them were Dean. It was just too hard to be in that familiar place. He was always expecting Dean to round the corner, slid into the kitchen looking for a cup of coffee or a beer. He could swear, late at night, he saw Dean’s shadow disappearing down the hall. He’d try to stop it. Him? Only to realize it was his imagination. He couldn’t breathe when it slammed home that Dean was gone; under Michael’s control. Dean was lost to him. No matter what he did, no matter the leads he followed up on, Dean was gone. In the wind. Nothing ever panned out. Either they were false leads or Michael was always ten steps ahead of him.

The Impala was the only thing that soothed him, the rumble of the engine, the connection to his missing brother. Life on the road was easier than hearing the reassuring words that they’d find Dean. They would get him back, rescue him from Michael. He called bullshit on that. Traveling from one place to another was easy. No one to answer to. No reason to stop and get a room. He had slept in the car countless times before. He did it nearly every night now. He’d make a pit stop when needed, not staying long. He’d grab a quick shower, change his clothes and be on the go again. No time for much else, not even shaving. He knew the look was different, a full beard instead of the few days of stubble he sported now and then.

But, that had been then. Now. Now, Dean was back. How he had managed to eject Michael, no one knew, not even Dean himself. The how, that didn’t matter. What mattered was that Dean was back. He had his family, his touchstone back. Dean was what anchored him to this world, to his sanity, to life itself. He was whole again, even if Dean wasn’t. But, there would be time for Dean to heal. Dean was broken and refusing to even talk about it. Stubborn bastard that Dean was. He would put Dean back together again, even if it killed him.

Sam gets out somehow anyway, because he's stubborn and won't take no for an answer, and Dean's worst nightmare comes true.

I know this is nowhere near what you're looking for, but it popped in my head and well..... here it is.


It happened on occasion, the sticky bit of monster, blood, leaves, grass, pretty much everything. But this? Dean shook his head. “Dude, quit movin’ around!”

"Ow! Gah, Dean, it hurts..." Sam clenched his fists and hissed in pain.

"Stop being such a baby." Dean shook his head and spread the ice cube around more. “Next time you piss off a cheerleader witch wanna-be can you just get shot? Getting a fuckin’ bullet out is easier than this.”

“Probably less painful, too, I-SON OF A BITCH!” He barely held himself back from smacking his brother.

“Got it!!”

“Yeah, and part of my scalp with it.”

“Stop bitching Rapunzel.” Holding up a wad of chewing gum with stands of Sam’s hair still attached, Dean grinned. “You’re still the fairest of them all.”

“That was Snow White.” It slipped out before Sam could stop himself and he cursed under his breath as his brother jumped on it.

“See? A girl would know that.”

“Jerk.”

“Bitch.” Sam barely caught the can of beer flying towards his face.

Sam gets hurt on a hunt - a gash from a monster that leaves behind poison. Dean has to fix him up under less than ideal circumstances. The poison is doing a number on Sam - mentally and/or physically. Maybe he hallucinates, maybe he thinks he's still a kid, maybe he thinks Dean is his dad, whatever floats your boat. They have to wait out the poison's effects, or call someone for help.
